Santa Maria and Orcutt residents may notice an increase in noise from military aircraft this week. The U.S. Air Force Warfare Center will be conducting readiness exercises beginning this morning. The Bamboo Eagle exercise will last through Friday and include simulated nighttime combat missions. Officials say the exercises are designed to enhance war fighting capabilities and bolster readiness.
