Students in the Santa Maria Bonita School District return to school next week. When they return, they may notice some improvements. While they were on summer break, crews were busy installing air conditioning at 11 of the schools. Shade structures on playgrounds at schools district-wide were installed, and new playgrounds at five schools, solar canopies, and more. According to KSBY, The district spent roughly 86 million dollars on the upgrades.
