A San Luis Obispo County agency is trying to cut down on the number of overdose deaths in SLO County. According to KSBY, San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health officials will be providing free Naloxone kits throughout the county. The life-saving medication can reverse an overdose of heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioids. People who pick up a kit will also receive a short training session. The kits will be available throughout the county this month. An Overdose Awareness Day event will be held on August 31 at Mitchell Park in San Luis Obispo from 2-4 p.m.
