Santa Maria-Bonita School District teachers got together yesterday for a picnic style lunch at Santa Maria Fairpark. The event gave the teachers, custodians, maintenance crews, and office staff a chance to reconnect and discuss plans for the new school year. District officials say the picnic was a way for the school district to show its appreciation.
