A wildfire broke out over the weekend in the hills between Paso Robles and Cambria. The Cypress Fire was first reported Saturday afternoon. The wind-fanned flames quickly charred about 10 acres of vegetation. By 5 p.m. the fire had grown to 88 acres, and was roughly five percent contained. A bulldozer operator suffered minor injuries when the dozer overturned. According to the Cal Fire incident page, crews have made good progress, slowing the spread of the flames. The Cypress Fire was reported to be 50 percent contained.
