Cal Fire firefighters responded to a report of a fire underneath the Hartford Pier in Avila Beach yesterday. The fire started just before 2:30, under the Mersea’s Restaurant. Firefighters had the flames knocked down minutes after the fire started. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
