A San Luis Obispo man spent Labor Day behind bars. Police responded to a report of a man wielding a large knife in the parking lot of a restaurant along Madonna Road. When police arrived, 30-year-old Samuel Stokes ran across Madonna Road into Laguna Lake Park. Officers were able to surround Stokes, keeping him away from families at the park. He is facing several charges including brandishing a deadly weapon and possessing drug paraphernalia.
