A Morro Bay man was arrested after leading police on a series of high-speed pursuits. According to yesterday’s press release, it began Tuesday afternoon. Police responded to a report of an altercation in a Taco Bell parking lot. The suspect, 43-year-old Gil Sung Kim, had fled by the time officers arrived. Five minutes later, officers spotted Kim’s car. He fled, reaching speeds up to 115 miles an hour. The Pursuit was called off due to public safety concerns. A CHP helicopter eventually spotted the car in San Luis Obispo. He was taken into custody without further incident.
