Students and Staff at Atascadero High School were told to shelter in place yesterday morning. It happened after police received an anonymous call. The caller claimed to have seen a handgun on a vehicle dashboard. Out of an abundance of caution, police requested the shelter-in-place and searched the area. Nothing suspicious was found. The shelter-in-place was lifted after about ten minutes. Police are now investigating the swatting call.
