The Atascadero Fire and Emergency Service Department had a busy 24 hours to start the week. Crews responded to a house fire on the 6800 block of Lobos Avenue just after 10:30 Monday night. Two rooms were destroyed, and four residents were displaced. Roughly 16 hours later, and a few blocks down the same street, an unattended barbecue sparked a backyard fire. Atascadero Fire officials have issued a countywide fire safety warning.
