Gas prices continue to decline. Experts predict the steady drop in gas prices could put the national average below three dollars a gallon as soon as next month. The drop is attributed to an end of summer driving, and oil prices falling to their lowest level in 3 years. 14 states are reporting gas prices below the 3 dollar mark. California is not one of them. According to Triple-A, California is averaging 4.76 a gallon, up 10 cents from a week ago. San Luis Obispo County is averaging 4.91 a gallon and Santa Barbara County is up to 4.70 a gallon.
