Two Central Coast high schools were placed on lockdown yesterday. Nipomo High School and Central Coast New Tech High School were locked down following a general threat against Nipomo High. Following an exhaustive search, the threat was deemed not credible. The lockdown was lifted at around 3 o’clock. An investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, Santa Maria Joint Union High School District officials say a 14-year-old is facing disciplinary action as well as criminal penalties following a thorough threat investigation.
