An attempted murder case ended in a hung jury on Friday. 48-year-old Charles Ammons was facing several charges connected to a DUI traffic stop in April 2022. According to the Tribune, The jury did find him guilty of assault on an officer with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed firearm, all felonies. The jury couldn’t agree if Ammons pulled the trigger of a semi-automatic handgun gun he had pointed at the officer’s head.
