An accident near Nipomo took the life of a motorcyclist yesterday afternoon. The crash happened at around 4:13 near the intersection of Hutton Road and Joshua Street. Authorities say Bakersfield resident Genaro Beltran made a U-turn in front of 37-year-old Levi Lopez. Lopez’ Harley Davidson struck the passenger door of the truck, ejecting Lopez. Beltran tried to flee but was arrested a short-time later. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.
