A Santa Maria man was arrested on suspicion of arson and felony vandalism. Authorities say the City Fire Department responded to a structure on South Broadway just after midnight Tuesday. Fire investigators also discovered a second fire had been started behind a convenience store nearby. At around 2:30 the same morning, police responded to a report of a shattered storefront window a few blocks away. According to KSBY, video surveillance footage led to the arrest of 33-year-old Martin Rodriguez.
