The largest passenger plane to land at San Luis Obispo County Airport arrived yesterday afternoon. The Boeing 737 operated by Alaska Airlines, made its maiden flight from Seattle to San Luis Obispo to begin a daily schedule between the Central Coast and the Pacific Northwest. Officials say the bigger plane carries twice as many passengers, allowing reduced departures from SLO, while lowering the airport’s carbon footprint.
