A former Motel 6 will soon become affordable housing. People’s Self Help Housing officials say the project is meant for extremely low-income individuals who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused. The 76 unit project on Calle Joaquin is partially funded by the California Homekey grant program. The conversion should be completed by spring of next year.
