New owners of a prominent San Luis Obispo County winery plan to bring it back from the brink of bankruptcy. Laetitia Vineyard and Winery has new owners with local ties. The vineyard’s corporate owners declared bankruptcy, auctioning off its California properties. Three families with local ties have long-term plans for the winery and estate. The new owners are Eric Hickey, Ejnar Knudsen and Jeff Nicholson. Eric Hickey has worked at the winery since 1988. Ejnar Knudsen’s family has been key supporters of Cal Poly’s viticulture program. Jeff Nicholson’s family has a 100 year history in California agriculture.
