An Atascadero elementary school went on lockdown yesterday after a student reported seeing someone with a weapon near the campus. Police responded to Santa Rosa Academic Academy at around 1:35 p.m. The child described the weapon as a rifle or shotgun. Officers secured the area but found no immediate threat. The lockdown was lifted by 2:09 p.m., and no crime was confirmed. School activities resumed as normal.
