One person is dead, another is injured, and a suspect is behind bars following a house fire in Arroyo Grande. The fire was first reported just after 6 p.m. on Spruce Street near Ash Street. First responders say a man and woman were inside the home at the time of the fire. The man passed away due to injuries from the fire and an assault. The woman suffered injuries consistent with an assault. According to KSBY, the suspect was was taken into custody while trying to start more fire as he fled. An investigation is ongoing.
