AI technology helped keep a vegetation fire in eastern San Luis Obispo County from getting out of hand this week. According to KSBY, more than 1,000 AI cameras are stationed in high visibility areas throughout California. One of those cameras in SLO County captured a glimpse of smoke. The AI system notified Cal Fire SLO in under a minute, giving firefighters a chance to keep the flames contained to an estimated 16 acres.
