The San Luis Obispo County man accused of fatally stabbing his father, injuring his mother and setting their house on fire in Arroyo Grande was in court yesterday. Criminal proceedings against 29-year-old Alan Osio were halted after the judge in the case expressed doubt about Osio’s competence to stand trial. That means, he will now be evaluated by mental health professionals to see if he needs to receive treatment in order to understand the charges against him.
