A fire shut down the northbound Highway 101 lanes through Pismo Beach over the weekend. Early yesterday morning, a vegetation fire was reported on the hillside near Bello Street. Traffic on the 101 was diverted off the Highway and through Pismo Beach as fire crews doused the flames. The fire scorched about one-eighth of an acre. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
