The man found guilty of murdering Kristen Smart has filed an appeal to have his conviction overturned. Attorneys for Paul Flores claim his 14th amendment right to due process was violated. They also pointed out that one juror was not removed despite showing signs of bias. Flores is two years into his 25-years-to-life sentence. His attorneys want his conviction reversed of reduced to second degree murder.
