SLO County residents who have seen plumes of smoke billowing across the sky can rest easy. The smoke was part of a prescribed burn by Cal Fire and the California State Parks. The burn was located in a 200-acre spot in the northern portion of Harmony Headlands State Park. According to a press release, The goal of prescribed burns is to reduce wildfire fuel loads and fire hazards.
