A Central Coast pier is going to get docked. The 1,000 foot long Cayucos pier sustained storm damage last winter and fencing was put up to prevent visitors from going to the end. County Parks officials say the pier needs to be shortened to make it safe again. The county plans to find an engineering consultant t come up with a plan to shorten the pier. The San Luis Obispo County Parks Department is hopeful FEMA funding will cover at least some of the cost.
