A Sylmar man charged with robbing a Santa Maria bank last year could avoid jail time. Prosecutors say Nolberto Reyes Hernandez admitted to robbing the Community West Bank at knife point last year after he lost 1200 dollars at the Chumash Casino. He was arrested in L.A. a few days later. His attorney petitioned for, and received, a mental health diversion. Hernandez will be released later today. If he successfully completes the treatment program, his case will be dismissed.
