A San Luis Obispo man was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of torturing and attempting to murder his girlfriend. According to police, Albert Jason Lucas the 2nd assaulted his girlfriend in a homeless encampment near San Luis Obispo Creek off South Higuera early Tuesday morning. He was found and arrested a short-time later. Yesterday he was charged with attempted murder, torture, domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, dissuading a witness by force or threat, criminal threats, false imprisonment, and violation of a restraining order. He’s being held without bail.
