Residents in the Five Cities area of San Luis Obispo County may notice a change in the taste and smell of their water. According to a press release from the Department of Public Health, beginning tomorrow, the Public Works Department will be changing the disinfectant in the Lopez Project distribution system. Officials say the water may temporarily smell and taste similar to pool water. If you have questions about your water quality, they recommend contacting your local water provider.
