An early morning fire caused the roof of an Atascadero home to collapse. Fire officials say the fire broke out just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning on San Benito Road. When crews arrived, they were greeted by heavy smoke and flames. A portion of the home’s roof collapsed just as the first firefighters arrived on scene. Everyone inside the home made it to safety. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
