The Madonna Inn is offering a 500 dollar reward for information leading to the recovery of a welcome mat. Officials say the custom rug was stolen Saturday afternoon at around 4:15. Two college-aged men wearing black hoodies and medical masks got away with the rug from the hotel’s Gold Rush Steak House entry. According to the Tribune, the getaway vehicle was a silver four door customized Chevy pickup. Madonna Inn officials believe the theft is connected to a fraternity prank. It’s the fifth time since 2021 has been stolen.
