CHP officials say the fatal crash early Tuesday morning was the end result of a high-speed pursuit. The driver had led CHP officers on a 100-mph chase when he failed to navigate the Highway 166 off-ramp. Suspected stolen items were found inside the suspect’s vehicle and the surrounding scene. The investigation is ongoing.
