With the Monarch butterfly possibly headed to the threatened species list, one conservation group hopes it will help protect their habitat. California Central Coast Joint Venture helps rebuild monarch butterfly habitats at several Central Coast locations. The group is replanting thousands of milkweed plants in an effort to help rebuild the butterfly’s dwindling numbers. The potential listing as a threatened species was announced last week and is now in a 90-day public comment period.
