No Bird Flu Cases Reported In SLO County… Yet

Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency yesterday due to a rising number of of bird flu cases. Across the country, 61 human cases have been reported. More than half of those cases are in California. In San Luis Obispo County health officials say the county has not yet identified any cases of bird flu in people or land animals. The Governor say his declaration will streamline and expedite the state’s response to the virus.
