Atascadero City water is safe to drink. that’s the word from the Atascadero Mutual Water Company after “forever chemicals” were found in the drinking water supply. Officials say the water still meets the standards of the Safe Drinking Water Act. The Atascadero Mutual Water Company plans to build a water treatment plant to remove the chemicals sometime in the new year.
