The CHP is investigating a crash that sent a car onto the beach at Avila yesterday afternoon. The crash happened just after 2 o’clock on Avila Beach Drive. Authorities say a Mercedes collided with a white Mini Cooper before leaving the road. The Mercedes ended up on the rocks about 30-feet down from the street. Only minor injuries were reported. It’s unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
