Work on one of the deadliest intersections in San Luis Obispo County is set to begin later this month. In the past 10 years, eight people have died at the intersection of Wellsona Road and Highway 101. The project will include a 112-foot underpass beneath Highway 101, as well as a frontage road connecting the underpass with Wellsona on both sides of the highway. Caltrans says construction will begin on January 14th.
