The Bob Jones Trail could soon be fully connected. The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors voted to approve a plan to bridge a 4.5-mile gap from the city to the sea trail that has been in the works for decades. Funding for the project will come from the state, Caltrans, the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments, county parks and community donations. The final step is for the design change to be approved by the California Transportation Commission at its next meeting at the end of the month.
