One of the deadliest intersections in San Luis Obispo County got underway yesterday. Caltrans officials say construction of a new underpass at Wellsona Road and Highway 101 is intended to reduce the number & severity of collisions at that intersection. One lane in each direction of the 101 will remain open during construction. The project is expected to be completed early next year.
