Morro Bay Police arrested a suspected car thief over the weekend. Investigators say Thomas Hight bought a 2024 Ford F250 from Perry Ford in San Luis Obispo but payment for the truck bounced back due to insufficient funds. The dealership reported the truck stolen. An automated license Plate reading system in Morro Bay detected the truck’s plate and officers arrested Hight on Sunday morning. Bail was set at 70,000 dollars.
