Cal Fire crews were busy in rural areas of northern San Luis Obispo County yesterday afternoon. The first fire was reported just after one o’clock on Soda Lake Road in California Valley. By 2 o’clock the fire had grown to 30 acres and was threatening some buildings. The blaze was finally contained at around 6:30 after scorching 105 acres. Another vegetation fire sparked nearby at the intersection of Greybriar Trail and Gulf Road and burned about three quarters of an acre.
