Former SLO County School Used To Train Firefighters

A former Paso Robles School site has become a training campus for some City Fire Department recruits. The recruits are part of a six-week program and will be training at the former Georgia Brown campus this week. They’ll work on obstacle avoidance, hose pulls and ladder carries. Officials say the empty school is a good place to train while the department waits for a new training center to be completed. According to KSBY, the New Recruit Academy will continue through March 13th.
