Nine people needed to be rescued from the Salinas River yesterday. Officials say they alerted riverbed residents of the potential dangers of Yesterday’s storm beginning Monday and several times before the rains arrived. The first call for help to the Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services came in just before 4:45 p.m.. The Department’s swift-water rescue team and a CHP helicopter brought five people to safety. A drone located four more people needing rescue. Officials say none of the 9 were injured during their ordeals.
