Dark Web Murder-For-Hire Case Gets Verdict

The Riverside man accused of trying to hire a hitman on the dark web to kill his stepmother will be spending some time in state prison. Following nearly three weeks of testimony and roughly 7 hours of deliberations, a San Luis Obispo County Jury found Beau Brigham guilty. Brigham was first arrested after someone in the U.K. turned his messages over to the CBS show “48 Hours,” which contacted the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office because Brigham’s stepmother lives in San Luis Obispo. He faces up to 9-years in prison when he’s sentenced on September 10th.
