The Five Cities Fire Authority has temporarily shut down its Oceano station due to staffing shortages. The shut down started yesterday morning and will continue into tomorrow. Two other Five Cities Fire units in Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach will respond to Oceano calls while the station is closed. The shut down comes ahead of an informational meeting on property tax measure A-20. That measure is meant to fund the station, including staffing and new equipment. The Meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. tomorrow.
