New Grading Policy For Santa Maria High Schoolers

Changes are on the way for students at Santa Maria Joint Union High School District. Officials have adopted a new grading policy that includes the Application of second-semester grades to the first semester, permits graduation with the minimum state credit requirements on a case-by-case basis, and uses “incomplete” or “no mark” options. According to KSBY, some feel the school board should have dropped the letter grad ‘F’.
