An officer involved shooting in Paso Robles leaves an L.A. man dead. Paso Police officers answered a call regarding shots being fired at an apartment complex on Branch Creek Circle yesterday afternoon. The armed suspect barricaded himself in the apartment, firing several shots at officers trying to negotiate with him. The SLO Regional SWAT team was called to the scene. The event ended when the suspect ignored officer commands and reached for his gun. According to KSBY, Police Chief Ty Lewis said, officers were left with no choice but to defend themselves. An investigation is ongoing.
