Homelessness in San Luis Obispo County could be reduced by 50 percent in four years. After months of research, former state senator and assemblyman Sam Blakeslee and attorney Greg Gillett have come up with a plan. According to the Tribune, their plan would include instituting systems to enhance homeless services and better track clients’ care plans and outcomes. It would also increase the supply of emergency shelters and permanent supportive housing. They plan to meet with local agencies to help bring the plan to light.
