Santa Maria Police are investigating a late-night shooting that sent one person to the hospital. Authorities say officers responded to a report of shots being fired near the intersection of Colebrook and Barrington Drive at around 11:30. When they arrived, they found an adult male victim with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
