The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has voted to send a letter to Governor Gavin Newsom. The letter will ask Newsom to assist in a growing effort to keep the Diablo Canyon Power Plant open. Earlier this month, a group made up of 79 scientists, academics, and entrepreneurs, called Save Clean Energy sent a similar letter. PG&E officials say the plant is on track to be decommissioned with no plans to relicense the facility.
